Water and Energy for Food (WE4F)

Funded by GIZ, this initiative scales water-energy-food innovations in emerging markets to advance gender equity, food security, and poverty reduction in sustainable ways. AlphaMundi Foundation provides tailored technical assistance to SMEs in the water, energy, and agriculture sectors, supporting partners such as Redavia, Sunculture, Olivado, Asili Farms, Amped Innovation, and GOT IT.

Powering Agriculture

Through the Powering Agriculture Investment Alliance, AMF partnered with Value for Women and the William Davidson Institute to deploy USD 3M in USAID-backed grants that strengthened SME investment capacity. The program catalyzed over USD 15M in private capital for clean energy solutions driving agricultural productivity in emerging economies.

Funded by DEG and implemented with Value for Women, this program supported East African SMEs to adopt gender-smart strategies that improved workplace equity, strengthened value chains, and expanded women’s access to finance. INVEST Gender TA Program

Supported by USAID’s GenDev via INVEST and delivered with Value for Women, this 18-month initiative helped portfolio SMEs in Latin America and East Africa design and implement business-first, gender-smart strategies—improving workplace equity, strengthening supply/customer markets for women, and building investment readiness to drive both social and commercial results.

Funded by GIZ under WE4F, this initiative scaled organic-fertilizer solutions across East and West Africa by providing results-based financing and tailored TA to eight SMEs, training smallholder farmers, and building robust M&E and partnerships. The program boosted local production, farmer adoption, and market expansion to strengthen climate adaptation, soil health, and food security.

Gender Smart Enterprise Assistance Research Coalition (G-SEARCh)

G-SEARCh unites six leading impact investors to test and demonstrate the business case for gender-smart technical assistance in early-growth SMEs across emerging markets. With research led by the William Davidson Institute and delivery support from Value for Women, the consortium documented how integrating gender strategies can strengthen workplace culture, boost sales and brand loyalty, attract investment, and improve social outcomes for employees, suppliers, and customers.
